Florida visible satellite imagery shows a curved cloud pattern over the western Atlantic marking the E-W oriented surface ridge axis. Note the cloud lines emanating from the Bahamas. Over Florida note the downwind lake and river cloud shadows indicating the SSE winds across the state. A few showers and thunderstorms will develop later today along the east and west coast sea breezes as both penetrate towards the center of the peninsula. A late season cold front will give rise to more widespread showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday.
