While Florida experiences a typical summer day with scattered late afternoon and evening thunderstorms along colliding sea breeze boundaries satellite imagery over the Caribbean shows a large Saharan dust plume over the region.  The dust which originated from northern Africa can be seen by the light sandy appearance over the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.
