GOES EAST GeoColor satellite imagery over Florida. An east to west oriented surface high pressure axis remained across the central peninsula while a weak trough was located over the northeast Gulf of Mexico. Afternoon sea breezes will generate showers and thunderstorms with inland areas being favored. Upper level winds will continue to push anvil clouds towards the southwest. Credit: NOAA
