GOES EAST GeoColor satellite imagery over Florida. Surface to mid level high pressure ridge axis was oriented east to west across central Florida with an upper level trough over the central Gulf of Mexico. Diurnal heating and sea breeze development will generate scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. A majority of the activity will be along the east coastal waters this morning then over east coast inland areas along the sea breeze during the afternoon.
